As we fly into 2012 I am once again reminded of the saying - the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.  Back in October I took the time to plan out MY marketing plan for 2012 which included updating my website, sending out a monthly newsletter, getting a handle on social media and being proactive rather than reactive.  Instead I started off the new year like a chicken with my head cut off - GASP and being The Promotions Chick DOUBLE GASP!!

After some reflecting I have come to this profound and yet simple philosophy I have decided I am going to live by, "learn to let go - it's the key to happiness".  We can plan all we like but plans change as do people which is a good thing and sometimes only in hindsight do we truly appreciate that.  These past few months have brought about all kinds of change for me, some good, some great and some spectacular.  I think change is a good thing and occasionally it changes us to the core, the secret is to embrace it, allow it and learn from it.

January is a great month for change so take the time to evaluate your business.  Evaluate your business from your client's perspective and ask yourself, "Would you do business with you?"  No need to share but be honest and if the answer is no the second question you need to ask is "What are you going to do to change that?"  Freshen up your brand (or create one), new marketing plan, get involved in the community...  There is no right or wrong answer but DO something.

2012 is going to be the best year you make it!  We are all in this together so if you need some assistance, let me know!  I want the best for you and will do what I can to help.
